Unhappy I need feedback on this badd!

It was really nice outside today so i decided to take the evo out.. I started everything was normal, i let it warm up for ten minutes. I left drove to a shell and put 93 in (ouch my wallet). It was running fine, then about 20 miles in, i was at a red light in neutral and my idle dropped below 1, started a weird rumble and my volts dropped significantly. It happened all the way home and actually stalled once. i had to keep the rpm's up to keep it going, i was very scared and had no clue what was going on with the car. I made it home and asked my dad, he said let me hear it and see how it drives, i took him for a ride no problems ran fine, also i went to a friends and had no problems. Im thinking the alternator? ii have no idea though i would love as much feed back as i can get Thanks.
Thanks for reading

I would assume the alternator too. How long has it been since you drove it last before today?

I'm still going to say the alternator, maybe just check your battery too just in case.

sounds like your car is sensitive, like mine... Im guessing battery/alternator, as well...

If I dont start my evo every few days, it gets grumpy. Twice now, my evo has failed to start if i dont start it w/ in 3 days. (no juice) and had to jump it...

I had the same problem this winter. Now, with a new battery installed it can sit for days and no problem.

maybe the alt. but then again if it isn't doing it now then it might have been just a little bit of gunk build up from sitting sor 12 days. Did I read it right that now it's fine?
