White smoke - WOT

Ive just recently started to notice that when I look in my review after booting heavily or going WOT there is a cloud of white smoke behind me. I have a mild tune with aem intake and a 3'' tbe. Should I be worried?

thanks in advance.

White smoke is coolant. Do a compression test. It might be the head gasket.
Blue smoke is oil.
Black smoke is fuel/too rich.

ya. blue is oil. white is coolant. (edited - i wrote white is oil, i must have been tired or distracted - embarrassing lol)

getting weird water temp readings? check your oil cap, coolant reservoir, and dipstick for odd milky residue. my guess is headgasket

Get a leak down test done. It could be your valve seals, head gasket, piston rings, or turbo.

all the fluids are normal levels, and the temp has been normal. I had a compression test done in jan when i bought it. I dont think its the valve seals becuase i just changed my plugs and they werent fouled up or anything.

when i have it warming up in the driveway the whitesmoke is pretty heavy. it doesnt smell like burning oil either...just like exhaust. When i got it compression tested the shop said it needed a new O2 sensor but havent gotten around to get that changed.

at idle it could be condensation.. but WOT if its white you may have problems.. definitely do a leak down test and that will help determine your options..

Compression test and leakdown test are what u need to do. White smoke=water, black smoke=fuel, greyish blue smoke= oil

White smoke = coolant
Black smoke = fuel
Blue smoke = oil

Easy to remember but not very accurate. I've seen cars that were burning oil billow white smoke but it only got its blue coloration when concentrated as in idling the car in a closed garage. Out in the sun it looked white. I've seen cars running so rich that fuel was coming from the exhaust, condensing and looking white. I've seen cars at WOT produce a cloud of brown smoke like dirt blowing from a field.

Chances are its a blown head gasket... as everyone else said, its coolant smoke.
