Exclamation The definitive answer to the Evo8 vs Evo9 wing debate

After having a couple of evo9 wings fold in half, some members here were in complete denial that a evo9 wing could actually fail and fold in half on a hi-speed run. Well here is the main difference between a 9 and a 8 wing.

First folded wing.

Evo9 vs Evo8 wing

Evo8-filled with expanding foam in the center blade gives it extra firmness and strength.

Evo9-Completely empty in the center blade, lighter but not as strong.

PS-if you still insist this is impossible and that the 9 wing is stronger you are a tool and need

Like this guy...

I still call BS, and you need to do some research on these "immense pressures" to see how this stuff actually works.

If it had happened once, then yeah I could say maybe you had a bad wing...but now you're trying to get us to believe that this happened twice with two different wings with NO PRIOR damage, and nothing hitting the wing....

riiiiggghhhhhtttt

the EVO IX wing is identical to the EVO 8 wing in the section that you claim it broke, so that wouldn't make any difference at all. The EVO IX wing is plastic on the sides, while the EVO 8 wing is carbon. That has absolutely NOTHING to do with the carbon center section (which is identical on both cars) breaking in half.

Stop trying to spread all this misinformation about the IX wing.

How fast were you going in order for the wing to fold like that?

Exact same thing happened to my buddy's 9.

Forget the unbelievers. Who cares if they don't believe. No skin off of your back.

I'm guessing they fold/snap/break under high-speeds, and not just a random happening while driving down the road?
