How do you decided 2.5 or 3 UICP ?

Could use some help from members. is 3 overkill or is 2.5 not enough for short route UICP.

Quick mod list

498whp ( dynoed)
Fp red 84mm
Built 2.0L
Meth injected
Speed Density
ETS Intercooler 2.5 ( I think )

Thanks

A 2.5" pipe is fine for that amount of power. Not to mention, you already have the benefit of the short route UICP (which is 2 ft shorter). Car's that run 3" UICP are usually making over 600 WHP, most 800+ and they are dedicated drag cars.

You'd be better off with a bigger intercooler core 3.5"+.

I'm over 600hp to the ground on E85, and the upgrading from my 2.5" to a 3" is the last thing on my mind.

Go with Bink.

Your turbo outlet is only 2.5". It makes no sense to get anything bigger.

2.5 is more than enough volume for your power

I just got my 3" in the mail. At your power level, not even worth it. Mine on the other hand may benefit with a 3" UICP and 75mm tb. I expect only 10whp from both.

Bink hit the nail on the head
