Moldey smell coming from vents?
#19
Dude...chill.......it isn't that big of a deal....almost all mitsus get it. All it is, is a form of mold growing on your AC system parts. Mitsu sells this stuff that coats some of the AC parts that rids it of that moldy smell. Just go see your local parts guy. It ain't no biggy. Just keep runnin your AC it will eventuall y rid itself of it, i know my evo will smell like *** come spring.

do you keep the air on recirculation? if so that could be the cause. All the moisture and dust in the cabin just get recirculated through the vents over and over creating gunk inside the vents. If it's a new problem, getting some outside air through those vents may help. If not, you may need the vents cleaned out. Just a thought.
