Alright. I really hope someone doesn't destroy me with the endless *search* responses everyone gets here. Just have a quick question...What is the main difference in the 9 bumper compared to an 8 bumper. Reason I ask, is I've been looking for a bumper with the UK fog light, and have recently found one off of an 8. Wanted to know if it'd be just a direct swap like the bumpers, or is there body work involved?

Don't know about a factory edm/jdm 9 but I have installed both the jdm 8 and 9 bumpers on us spec evos and they utilize the exact same parts, nothing different is used for an install. So I would assume that for u to swap the 9 bumper for an 8 bumper shouldn't be an issue just remove and replace. Though u do know u can buy the edm foglamp and trim panel for it to install on your bumper. No need to buy a whole bumper. Was previously looking into putting this on my car and u can order the parts from the uk seperately as it is an optional piece for the car.

8's and 9's are the same when it comes to mounting bumpers.

The uk 8 bumper is the one with the trim line around it and the jdm 9 is the one with the diffuser.

so to summarize, yes they are all interchangeable.

Thanks for the quick responses. I was unaware that you could buy just the fog light. I have scoured the internet looking for one or where to buy it. But I apparently suck at that lol. Happen to remember where you were looking at them? If I'm not mistaken though, the UK 9's never came with the fog light, correct?

Check uk eBay for the fog light.

Just search flush mount rear fog light and it should pop up.

It's a universal on that looks just like the one in the uk evo.

It's about $55 shipped to the US.

As far as getting the real one from the uk, I used a importer that had gotten me parts from the uk before. Apparently he had a friend over there that would just head to the dealer to get parts and pricing. But u can order the light and trim, dash button, etc to make it work. Was a couple hundred bucks iirc. Tho like limp_noodle said yes the eBay one is very close to it. U can also try the uk evo forums for help.
