clunk from drivetrain when launching!??

clunk from drivetrain when launching!??

i have a 06 evo MR, when i do hard launches and after i go through 1st gear and about
to go to 2nd i feel the car clunking from the drivetrain, sometimes from the middle and sometimes from the front, is this common under these conditions or whats going on?

It's probably cause I dropped the clutch too fast.

The rear diff on my car will clunk pretty bad when shifting to 2nd under very hard acceleration. Thats the only clunk I've ever experienced. I don't launch my car though.





Or it could be a possum...

seriously though, rear diff bushings will solve that clunking noise

exhaust hitting transfercase? bad mounts? Stop side stepping your car.

just get energy suspension rear diff bushings. Removes the clunk completely without rattling your teeth.
