AEM boost gauge problem.
hey guys i've looked all over and havent been able to find anything on this so i figured i'd ask. for this aem boost gauge(analog) i need a switched power source that doesnt cut out at start up i cant find one at all. does anyone know which wire i can splice into or a fuse i can use, cant be the clock radio or cig lighter thos cut out. thanks any suggestions would be appreciated

Accessory wires show 12v at ignition but not at crank, Ignition wires show 12v on ignition and crank, you can find both at the ignition harness but an accessory wire such as radio should work just fine, that's how mine's hooked up.

Chaps... I'm bumping this thread after a lengthy search.
I've just installed my AEM Boost Gauage off of the clock via some other threads on here. However, when I crank... it's cutting out and re-zeroing, and as such reads zero at idle (which is bad for those of you keeping score).
1. Do I have the wires mixed up on the clock? Like did I switch the ACC and the IGN wires?
or
2. Where did you or do you suggest tapping into? I've seen someone tapping into the ECU fuse (which makes me kind of nervous) and I've seen tapping into the direct black and white ignition wire on the steering column... which also seems a little counter intuitive.
Help a brother out...

Bottom line... which fuse, or which wire provides a CONSTANT power supply when you click the key into the starter position? If you happen to know which one of the 4 wires on the clock will do this, that's extra helpful.

I've got to think that my vampire clips (shockingly) aren't making a good enough connection. Sometimes... the gauge will keep power during startup, and other times it won't... Maybe I'll have to get the soldering iron out this weekend... I was using the vamp clips to be sure I had it wired as necessary before going permanent btw...
I'd still like more info.
Sho... when you did yours, which wires on the cigarette lighter went to which wires on the gauge?
