Exclamation Coolant leak help! (PICS)


So i noticed this ssssssssssss noise coming from my motor and i looked under the car and coolant was dripping from the left side of the motor. it was dark so i couldnt see anything but i got a picture of the leak.
i will take a look at it tomorrow in the light but does anybody have any idea where and what i should be looking for?

your water pump may be leaking or the O-Ring in the back of the pump outlet may have worn out and started to leak. Tear down the front cover and you should see very easily if the pump leaks. Or you can use/rent a pressure tester from a autoparts store and it will show the leak without the car running.

does anybody have online link to the service manual or something so that i can find out whrer the water pump is?

Water pump is def the #1 suspect.

Grab yourself a timing belt kit and go at it!

when you say "Tear down the front cover" are you talking about the cover below timing belt cover

yes the timing belt cover. Is not difficult at all.

A water pump job is a timing belt job and a timing belt job is difficult if you are not an Evo mechanic. Go look at the timing belt how-to before deciding to tear into this.

Fixed!
All Mitsu's with the dual tension setup are quirky the Evo's not special.
