I have been debating this myself, as there are Never any clean evo's around middle tn, so I am prolly gonna have to fly out somewhere, which sucks.

In July I brought a pretty mint ix se from Houston to Utah and it was dirty as hell when it got here but there were no marks on it from the drive. I used the autotransport group. I would say they did a pretty good job if that helps ya at all.

i flew from milwaukee to dallas and drove strait home (1,100 miles). it cost me 2 one way tickets at $98 each with all fees for me and a buddy, $10 worth of energy drinks, $15 worth of drive thru and $130 in gas. it was less than 24 hours from being dropped off at the airport to being back home and passing out from exhaustion. if i had to do it again, i would stop 2/3 of the way and get a $60 room for the night.

I've road tripped my evo's. From what I've heard, Passport Transport has done well for people (they also do enclosed).

I was under the impression that these companies were brokers and the actual person(s) delivering your vehicle were basically freelance haulers.

I used a Triple A service with closed carrier for my Supra TT and service was great, on time, and at a super good price. Good luck & definitely recommend Closed Carrier!!!!

I've road tripped my Evos, as well as shipped them. I recommend and use both Reliable Carriers and Intercity Lines if you don't fly-in to drive home. You get what you pay for. It's a gamble going with brokers. Also, I don't plan to ship open carrier again but I'd consider it if it's a sub- $10k car.

I used Reliable Carriers to ship my IX enclosed. Arrived without a mark on it. Though I will say it took a while for them to pick up the car to ship it.

Some years ago I had me car shipped from New Jersey to California. This was the only time for me when I used such a service, but I can say that I all in all it was easier than I expected. I can't remember what the final cost was because it was long time ago, but the information on domestic and international car shipping rates is quite easy to find.

Good Experience

I used an awesome company to ship my evolution enclosed from California to New York. They charged me about $1400 enclosed and I think open carrier quotes were around $900 it was about a year ago so i don't remember exact. You can get an auto transport quote from them by clicking here
