Dammmmm 2000 miles .. . I think the only fluid you may have a problem is with the brake fluid.

My advice is to DRIVE THAT **** lol. Damn thought I had low miles when I got my IX last year with 14,700k.

Brake fluid and you're due for a coolant change sadly. Depending on the climate you may need to change the oil and trans oil due to condensation. Diff fluid should be fine but why risk it on a 2000 mile car, just change all fluids and drive it.

Drive it up the road and get the thing to operating temp. Drain everything and replace with oem mitsu fluids. Do transfer case, trans, rear diff, radiator, maybe even brake and power steering just to be safe.

That's incredible man. Although, there was a thread on here from a while back; some guy had an 03 with ~5000 miles on it, and he threw a rod because the car just sat. Start driving the thing a bit more often. I'm sure you've heard that docked ships have a higher probability of sinking than an active ship. Same goes for planes traines and even people. If they sit, nature eats them.

You bought the car to enjoy it, now go do that. There is no harm in driving it.

I have no idea how to maintain a stationary object like this. Maybe contact a car museum ask how they maintain and preserve their exhibits.

Only 2000 miles? Wow! Can't decide whether the Evo is cared for or abused. J/K.

I say it's time to take a road trip.

As much as I hate to say it, I hope you're not saving this in the hopes that it will be worth a lot some day. A car in its 8th generation and, more importantly, a stripped US model, won't garner the type of money that a muscle car, FQ400, or something like that would

Driiiiive it and enjoy it, it doesn't have to be your daily but it should get at least some miles on it every month

Sell it to someone who will enjoy it. If its that old with that low miles I would be scared to drive it without changing the belts as well along with the tires. They have def got to have flat spots in them.

If it was a JDM evo 9 MRSE or just the SE it would be worth doing what your doing. A evo 8 USDM isn't going to do much for you. That poor car needs someone to love it and enjoy it!

This! Also check all your seals as these things tend to get brittle, crack and eventually leak when car is not driven much. Drive it at least 100 miles a month.

I thought my 4 year old Evo 9 has low miles at 19,000 miles!
