I either listed an Item that needs to be on the EVO standard or it is something you cannot mod yourself.

Like the differential Idea of 100% RWD to 100% FWD. Try modding that HAHAHAH.

How about the 6 speed sequential HAHAHAH!

For 30 grand I expect a choice of at least FAKE wood grain or Carbon Fiber!

Many of the things on the WISH list cannot be EASILY modded even by a mechanic.

Can't think of any situation in which I'd want to push any more power to the front wheels. I'd rather the torque split start at something approximating 35% front and 65% rear like my old 325iX. That gives you a nice RWD feel under acceleration.

3. Sequential Six speed.
I wouldn't really want a sequential box on a street car. Too much noise and practically impossible to shift smoothly. I think the ratios of the 5-speed box suit the car perfectly...don't see the need for 6th.

Who could argue? Front LSD would be nice on the track, but probably not that useful on the street. Besides, if you rolled back the power distribution to give more rear wheel bias, the front LSD would hardly be necessary.

I could go either way on these two. I wouldn't want a plusher interior if it means more weight and higher cost.

For me, the wishlist would be pretty simple. Run a proper air/fuel mixture. Hold boost to redline. Bump it up to 20 psi or so while you're at it . Add some gauges (boost, EGT, oil temp/pressure at minimum). Free up the exhaust a bit. Basically, we're looking at your standard mods here. I'd gladly pay an extra $1000 or so for all this if it meant avoiding waranty hassles.

I'd swear I've stumbled across some boxes that are part dog, part synchro'd and also part straight-cut, part helical cut... at least maybe in Subie-land a while back.

I guess my point is that, although it sounds a little silly, you could have helical gears in a sequential dog box. That would at least work on the noise side of things.

I agree, the car works fine with 5 gears, even if it does get 6 gears in other countries/trims. The torque curve is broad enough that 5 gears are fine.

I totally agree the 5-speed is geared perfectly. Why mess with it.
