The bar comes with longer bolts for the top and bottom. I can't believe any bar would use the factory bolt, I'd also think it would be too short.

I wish Nick had taken the order......then I could get the bar built with the tabs or without and in the color you want. Send me a PM with the information and I'll make sure it gets started.

I saw that Dave had made another video and I wondered what he was up to now - perhaps another brewery? So, the video starts and gets to the shot of the belts in the car. I stop the video and stare for the next 10 minutes. I can't get over the visual impact of those things. The car finally looks finished – like this is something the car was always meant to have – like hair on a he-man chest.

So, thanks a lot Dave, in the morning when I go out to my car its going to look to me like a Corolla and its all your fault.

Pins are made by Jergens.

I agree, the car looks much more complete for what it is used for with the bar and harnesses. I'd love to remove the factory seat belts all together and offset nearly all the weight that was added with the bar BUT that would leave me without a seat belt when I take the bar out for the rear passengers.

Nick and Jarrod both know the details on the bars now, order options etc. Anyone who wants to order just call and we will get the bars started.

Quick questions on the Pins Dave. How does the maximum sheet force of the pins compare to a standard bolt that you would use to connect that. My concern would only be if god forbid you were actually in an accident all your weight and momentum would be on that pin.

Thanks guys for helping with the thread. It's race week for us, the sport compact race we put on is this weekend and it's always very hectic.

The double sheer strength of that pin, as you see is 20,700 pounds, I think we are safe We did use double sheers on both quick release pins.

Thank you for putting the video up. It usually does that when I post it, not sure why it was just a link this time.

Any of you reading the thread. Please, if you can make it, come out to Summit Motorsports Park, Norwalk, Ohio this weekend! Saturday is an autocross and Sunday is the drag race. For those of you that haven't autocrossed before this is your best chance to start. It's a BLAST. $35 and you will get at least 8 runs. The course will be set up simple and easy to get through. Very simple classes, street tire, race tire and a kart class.
