There is also a type of powdercoat that has thermal dispersant properties.....had mine done a couple years ago and it still looks nice and works great....

How about posting pics if u have this done? Im curious as well to see how it looks.

I would think powder coat would be too thick and gunk up in all the fins.

If you get it anodized, take the IC piping with you.

A buddy of mine that had it done had the IC piping done with it for no extra charge.

^^^TCC does this...from what they have posted it looks awesome...

I personally wouldn't use radiator paint as it will eventually start chipping and look like crap...

Once again I would get it anodized...I had mine done about 2 yrs ago and still looks great...

I can see where you are coming from with the police. Around here though, they wouldnt know what the hell the fmic is lol. Most think its just the radiator oddly placed in the front bumper.

I would say, if you are gonna do it though, definitely have it anodized, i say.

I priced it out and anodizing would be $50 to $100 locally for me. So dirt cheap but at least a week turn around even with me driving it there.

Just put it in no paint. I'll tough it out for a while with silver.

These guys seem to know what they're doing unlike other coaters out there that claim their coating can withstand 2000*F but don't specify whether their coating will keep the heat in or pull heat out.

If anodizing is cheap, go that route ... but honestly there will be little difference in performance between paint and anodizing.

You have to remember that very little heat transfer actually happens on the face of the core. It's the inside that matters. If you aren't coating the inner fins with paint there will be very little performance decrease.

In comparison though, with anodizing there will be essentially no performance decrease.
