does anyone else try to do this or is it just me?

sometimes when I'm at a stop and I want to hear something I reach for the stereo knob to try to turn down the "music" that is playing. However, my stereo isn't even on when I do that... I'm just trying to turn down the exhaust hahaha

Get a stock exhaust if you don't like the noise. :P

Just messin with you man. Run dual mufflers? Maybe that'll help tone it down. So far, all of the HKS exhausts I've heard are quiet. minus the Ti's. Maybe your ears are just more sensitive to the loudness. Who knows. hehe!

For me, I think loud is like the Buschur bullet and the Invidia N1 with the tiny muffler canister.

 

The sound from the exhaust and the turbo is the only music I need to hear while driving!

haha yeah its pretty quiet but i have all my windows down because I love hearing it... so after a while my ears do start to get sensitive to it. but WOT simply sounds amazing...

 

depending on the tip size stick an orange in the back; a grape fruit would do to.

 

I bought an ebay Greddy knock off catback exhaust as I know the greddy's arent terribly loud. It sounded perfect in ever way: decibel level and tone of exhaust. But, as soon as I added cams, that went out the window. While the quality of sound is still awesome, the loudness is up there.

 

Ebay exhausts' muffler sound-dampening material is cheap and often burns out quickly, resulting in a loud exhaust system. lol

 

I wouldn't disagree with you. But, my change in volume was very apparent upon first start of the cam swap.

 

I just recent put on my eBay TB exhaust and for $220 shipped theres really nothing better for the price, its deep and sounds unreal at WOT
