All various different shops, the scoobys really are not very reliable past stage II, this is common knowledge.

I know plenty of STi's running 400+ WHP with no problems... Only thing I've seen break was a WRX tranny, but dude drove like an idiot.. soo...

As for 2011 wrx or Evo 9, go Evo for performance, WRX for a more luxery type deal.

another advantage to the wrx is the stability and traction control. i have never been a fan of them until now. the old systems were too intrusive and would slow you down in snow. the subaru system is great! still lets you spin the tires and accelerate hard, but it keeps the car strait around turns and stuff.

I'm looking at picking up a IX SE as a DD. I have found one, not sure if it's still available though, that is one-owner, stock. Decent price on it too. It will replace my 2003 Civic EX. I have a 1998 GSX in the 11's in the garage that is getting faster by the day and is a ton of fun to drive, but I don't want to daily it even though I could if I wanted. For those saying a IX is too aggressive, useless as a DD - I would contend that's what is so appealing about it to me. I like to drive spiritedly, but within reason and legality Also, we get a lot of snow up this way so having AWD for the winter would be great.
