Speedometer Not Working & Maintenance Required Light On

So I got hit in the back door by an old lady backing out yesterday but thats another story.

About an hour later I notice my Speedometer is not working. It's just at zero and my maintenace light (not check engine) is on. Also my scan gauge is not working at all, It doesnt even light up

Any ideas?

It was one of those days, anyways her insurance company claimed full responsibilty so thats fine

Have you had any tranny work lately? Check that the speed sensor and cable is installed properly. It's mounted on the top of the tranny towards the firewall. My harness for the sensor was not securely connected and a threw a code. Not sure about the 9 and maintenance codes.

Is it easier to check for the sensor under the battery or from underneath?

also I've been reading some scnagauges don't work with hyundais and elantras so I'll have to try that out
