headlight question

I have an 03 gsr with a broken ballast on the passenger side. If i wanted to just get an aftermarket hid kit to replace the oem ballasts, how would that work?

No it would not , you would have to mount it somewhere else , it would be best to replace the oem ballast with another Oem ballast .

As J.liu said secure it properly and call it a day,an oem replacement is not 100% necessary.

since my headlights come HID from factory.. the ballast sits right under the headlight.. and there is a hole where the ballast actually mount into though.
