I missed the key word, "shaft". I fully understand now. Makes alot more sense. If it is I might just buy an aftermarket TB. Any suggestions on brand/size?

No you dont have to buy an aftermarket throttle body. You need to buy aftermarket throttle body shaft seals.

I personally run Milspec throttle body shaft seals. They made a world of difference.

I know. I'm just the type that if something needs fixed, why not just go one step beyond and get some performance while I'm at it.

Most people think that way too. However when troubleshooting, only change one variable at a time.

A new TB will most likely require minor tuning to obtain any benefit. It can also throw off your trims and/or idle. If you still have issues then you won't know if it's the original problem, or a new problem caused by the upgraded TB or tune.

I'd agree with the others here that you need to simply look into aftermarket TB shaft seals. I'd wait on upgrading the TB, especially on cars with little mods.
