Well, before things even get worse especially in arizona heat, you should go to the local tuners and have it all done at once, boost leak test it and retune. If you have the evo 9 DV it shouldn't sit wide open if I recall, if it was does it even build boost?

Yes builds boost really quickly, seems fine in first but second gear on it boosts fast if hit gas, have to stay out of it and builds rpms as long as doesnt get any more than 5psi boost, if it does it hits fuel cut from over boost

Had it checked and it over boosted the wastegate and the spring failed

Im hoping that all it is. Part got ordered so once its in, then can test to make sure nothing else is wrong

I had the same issues with mine but it turned out to be that leaky plastic 8 bov

boost leak can be a pain, I always trouble shoot that first in boost issues.

I also found a cracked silicone coupler that went from turbo to the front mount on the hard piping. Car is up and running great right now but seems to want to try and stall out when go into idle, never did that before. Its only when first shift into neutral and dropping the rpms
