shift knob question
#31
I have a Greddy counterweight and an ARC burnt Ti, both are weighted knobs. I like the Greddy because it is heavier and sits flush with the shift boot, but that thing gets really hot in the summer and scratches up very easily. I ended up sticking with the ARC, because it looks cleaner and also as a nice weight to it (although not as heavy as the Greddy). If a company made something that was Burnt Ti and weighed as much as the Greddy Counterweight, I would be all over it.

It weighs about a pound, and is probably the one shift knob that sits flush and actually looks OEM on an evo shift boot. My only complaints about it are that it gets REALLY hot in the summer, it scratches up very easily and the stickers on the top are cheap and fade/scratch up quickly.

You're absolutely right; It's the regular 490. I just typed that mindlessly as I'd been considering both versions before pulling the trigger. Good catch!

I found an older thread on here after I asked the question and "apparently" the MR's are shipped to the U.S. with the leather ones and the dealerships replace them with the carbon fiber/aluminum ones. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...shiftknob.html

Anyway, I'd really like a composite (delrin, whatever) knob with a bit of weight to it that fits the reverse lockout on my MR.
There don't seem to be many choices out there that fit this bill and sit stock height or lower. My B&M on my GSR spoiled me.
