Lol when i took my shift knob off. It litterly took me about 40 minutes to get it to line back up. And so i went with the derlin shift number from ams. Its so much nicer. Doesnt get hot like the OEM one.

I went with the OEM leather 6-speed knob because of how hot the metal knob gets

When I removed my brake handle, I had to straddle the center console while my *** was in the windshield lol.

But for shift knobs, my Greddy counterweight got extremely hot, especically during the summer, but now I have an ARC and haven't really had problems with it getting too hot.

Dude I know what you mean, I think I'm going to have to like put a sock or something over my Greddy cuz it just gets to damn hot.

Do you know if any other company makes a counterweight knob w/o spending more than $100?

Works makes a good knob. Got an old model as it still has the H pattern (current Works knob has the word WORKS stamped right on top) but the weight and size should be the same. Great knob and feels great too.

Personally, I hated the Greddy because the ball was too small and it felt very odd to shift with. I managed to find someone to trade the Greddy for a stock knob and, IMO, the stock knob felt that much better because the size was bigger.

Blox 490 is also great as it's 490 grams (Works knob is only 173 grams) and, if it's your thing, feels glossy. I like the feel of my matte finish Works knob but I do wish it was heavier...

Ralliart makes weighted shift knobs as well.

I have this version of the Ralliart knob and compared to the WORKS shift knob I also have, it's weighs slightly less than the WORKS one.

all of them mount like stock. Lefty loosey, righty tighty.

im sorry, maybe its just because i havent slept, but is it just me or is this thread hilarious?

all i hear is; straddling consoles, a$$ against the glass, size of your knob, weight of your knob, how hot your knob gets, covering your knob with a sock, different color knobs etc. of course no homo, but i had a good laugh.

fyi, i have the greddy. it has a nice weight to it, gets super hot, and is starting to lose color and texture from cupping the knob with my hand......

burns your hand in the summer and is an ice cube in the winter when it gets cold enough lol. I ended up keeping the gloves I have for auto-x in the car so I can throw on the right one when its stupid hot or cold heh.
