So, to bring this back... is there any truth behind the shop owner packing up and moving to Cali? Because if there is, I will be HIGHLY ****ING PISSED.

I have not one, but TWO alternators I sent to Douglas Autoworks last month that arrived at their doorstep on 22 Aug. They were not signed for and were taken back to whatever USPS facility. I got no word from these guys either through email, PM, or phone calls. They KNEW I was sending this **** out. I just called 5 minutes ago to the shop and got a recorded message to call Steve. Called Steve... which apparently this guy had no relation to the shop. He said the owner popped smoke and rolled to Cali.

Now here I am, in one hell of a ****ing time crunch since I'm leaving Korea in 16 days and the two alternators will essentially be stuck in limbo. Thank GOD my wife picked me up ANOTHER alternator from the states while she was there for 10 days or I'd be out a damn Evo because of these guys.

Someone PLEASE tell me they got contact info for ANYONE from this shop.

I just called and was told that Steve has left to california and that shop (Douglas) is closed. I guess I won't be getting an alternator either.

although this is a travesty, word of mouth spreads fast, this company along with another are on my black list, customer service goes along way and when a company like this one ****s on the little guys out there, the word spreads. glad to hear you still got an alternator.

^ Yeah, just got done putting the new one in... got the process down to a one hour science now.

It's now about the money/alternator/warranty work/customer service/fact that I'm leaving Korea in 2 weeks and my shipped alternators are in limbo.

I really just need to stick to the likes of Buschur/English/AMS/AWD/etc. I'll never receive fail from them.
