If youre looking for faster spool and less overall power obviously the 5857 is the way to go with.

Id stick with the 6262.

This looks like a text I got this morning .... hmm haha. I look at it as if ur gonna make the same power as the 6262getting as the 5857 doesn't that mean u will br pushing the new turbo to higher limits so wearing the life of the 5857 down? I donno anything when it comes to turbos but it would make sense to me. Haha

If you like the power level you're at....stay with it. Doesn't sound like you are pushing the current turbo you have, why go down....might as well get an FP Black and call it a day.

I looked into the 5857 as well, because I want fast spool and good midrange power. If you are willing to run E-85 daily then you will make the same as you did on pump....most likely more. It ends there though. Here is a build I found when I was considering this turbo....

If you are happy keep the 6262. We built the 577/505 5857 car which is now on a S300 88-75

Around the same time as the 5857 car we had a comparable 6262 car both running 40psi on e85. both built2.0

5857-577/505
6262-675/xxx cant remember trq its on our youtube tho.

the 5857 o0n e85 was more "fun" to drive around city streets and stop light to stop light but if you are happy with your power i would say stick with the 6262

I would never run the 5857 turbo. I have never been inpressed with its numbers for the cost.

To do a 5758 you might as well just go with a stock frame turbo.

after doing some research, you are right, the fp black is definitely a better turbo. to the OP, if you have a .82 a/r, try the .63 or if you are looking for even better spool, go for the hta3582
