I found a megan manifold for $50. Selling said no leaks at all and port and polished?

Nope. My car had one on it when I bought it. Cracked after doing some mountain runs with some friends. Looked like it had cracked in the same place before I bought it and previous owner welded it.

Either not worth the effort.

I bought one used only to discover little cracks hidden underneath all the carbon build up on the inside of the runners. Just get the stocker ported.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong, but I have heard anywhere from 20-30 HP depending on quality of work. Also has a lot to do with the tune as well.

You're better off with stock, to be honest.

I would like to add that Megan does make some good products, mainly their catback exhaust, downpipe and test pipes. Parts which don't have a major impact if they ever do go bad, but for a tubular manifold and a used one at that, I would go for another brand and buy new.

if your going to do the stock ported route.. either Curt brown(if you can get him to port it.. hes SICK), or map. Ive seen the rest.

Many of the big ones look like they use hacksaws.

Megan on my VIII has been good for at least 50k...
Just inspected, no crack, no issue...
Seems like a solid piece to me.
