Cheap and neat things/ideas for your Evo thread

We all know owning an Evo is by far not the cheapest investment you can make.

So, I thought it would be cool to have a thread where the Evo guys could browse/submit cool ideas or things you can buy that won't break the bank, and just add a nice touch the the car.

I am thinking we could keep it between $0-$100 or something that most people wouldn't mind spending on a whim.

I will give an example:

I just made this purchase on eBay. It is a carbon fiber armrest cover, and cost $50. I think it will make a big difference for a mere $50.

Basically the idea came about because I have a spare couple hundred bucks in the paypal account tonight, and figured it would be cool to see some fresh or unique accents I can add to the car.

Let's see what you guys come up with!

Not just yet, it was shipped out a few days ago. I will definitely post some up when I get it.

Here is a better image I took from another website:

if it doesn't perform a vital fuction, reduce weight, or add horsepower, I'm not interested.

Did you weigh the stock piece?

To each their own. This thread is totally open to everything from pure cosmetics to best bang for the buck performance parts.

In this case it did perform a vital function. Got rid of my armrest that had collected a lot of grime and grease from being used so much!

I think a lot of people are going to feel that way. I think it does add a nice touch to the interior though. I got a "shocker" oil cap for like $10 and it made my engine bay look a little nicer. Some people are gonna say you get what you paid for but little parts like that are well worth it IMO

Is this the kind of thread we want to support on an Evolution forum?

Call me weird but I like the look of the stock piece over the cf.

I guess I have just seen too many evos with tons of cf on them. I am not a big fan of a lot of cf any more.

However, I understand everyone is different.

Not getting that though does save me $50

There's a sticky at the top that shows you how to properly modify your Evo, $100 at a time...

Best purchase you can make for less than $100 is a weighted shift knob. 5 seconds to install and a world of difference.
