What made you decide on an evo?
As the title says, what made you decide on buying an evo?
What else did you consider when you were buying?
Did you buy it new or used?
And do you have any regrets?

The test drive mostly did it for me.
Previous cars I have had have been a Mustang, 240SX, supercharged C5 Corvette and an 05 STI; So I didn't really have any other "sports" cars in mind. The 9 is by far my favorite out of all the cars I have owned.
Bought it slightly used and no regrets at all.

I've always loved Evo's, the sound styling everything.
I was originally looking to buy an Sti, drove around 5-6 of them, felt like it was missing something bought the first Evo I drove.
got it used.
Never had a regret very happy love my 9

I was set on an '06 Aspen White STi until I saw this '06 WW IX MR in a back lot of this Mitsu dealership; it was brand spankin' new. It was LOVE at first sight and I drove it home the next day.
No regrets and she's still 100% stock. Plus, just the body lines alone on this car makes you drool.

The fact that the Evo is one of (if not the most) versatile cars in the world did it for me...That and seeing the amount of power the 4G63's can make and how well the Evo can handle a corner! After the test drive I knew I was not walking out of that dealership without that car! One suprising fact to me now is how reliable mine has been especially with the amount of track time it sees. I do take very good care of it and change my fluids usually monthly depending on the amount of track use. I think one of the only cars I would consider over an Evo as far as power and handling would be a C6 Z06.

The original Gran turismo, and after a little research I figured a used gsx was the closest I can get in my price range and evo's not actually being available here.
Bought my 03 ww Evo in 06 after one test drive and not even considering another car.
Traded that in for my 08 GG MR in Jan again without considering anything else and haven't looked back.

I fell in love with it after playing gran turismo then i got to drive one when I was working at a shell station and that was it, I got back from my first deployment in 09 and bought an used evo viii and recently traded it for a X MR T. I'm in love to say the least and it drives my wife crazy.

I previously owned a '92 DSM. I do all my own automotive maintenance and repair and the 1st generation DSM was invented to wear out tools. So, when the Evo came to our shores, by buying one, I figured I could still get some use out of my Mitsubishi knowledge base. Instead, it has been a trouble free car.

Fast and the Furious... Lol jk. I bought it originally because I thought it stood out and where I'm from there was not very many around. I'm on my second one and I have no regrets on my car selection. Bought both of them used with around 30K
