Blown Turbo?

Hey guys,

Mods: 2.3L FP Black, E85 and usual bolt ons...

I was just trying to get an opinion of whether my FP Black is shot or not. I installed a new fp 25psi wastegate (in place of stock wastegate) and took the car out to see where I was with the preload (on wastegate boost). I did a third gear pull and was right around 25 psi. I then did another one to double check. As soon as I tried to go into boost, the car started making this high pitch squealing sound and would not build boost. I figured I had a boost leak and did a boost leak check. I then searched the forums and was reading about possibly having a leak at the J pipe gasket. While still investigating the cause of this high pitch squeal, I looked at the blades on the turbo and it looks like there is one that is pretty bent.

I am on speed density and always ran the car with an air filter. When I went to go do the pulls, I was being lazy and decided to run with out any sort of filter for the first time since I was just going down the street to check the boost. I am beginning to wonder if a rock or something bounced up while I was doing the pull bending the blade.

There doesn't seem to be a substantial amount of shaft play but like I said the one blade is definitely bent. I am assuming that this is my problem and what is causing this loud squeal when trying to go into boost. With that said, I guess I was just wondering if my suspicions are right about the blade causing this high pitch squeal and if I am still able to send the turbo back to FP and get it rebuilt

Pics would help, usually a foreign object entering a turbo does more than bend blades they usually tend to fly apart and implode and I doubt it would have only damaged one blade as well since usually anything entering the turbo bounces around off the blades before beeing sucked in.

If you take the turbo out, have it inspected, and maybe... just maybe the only damage might be the compressor blades. So that can be swapped if the cartridge is not damaged.
