turbo coolant line leak

its a evo 8 with a fp black turbo , noticed one of my coolant lines was leaking and I'm not sure to order evo 8 coolant lines or evo 9 or if they are the same size , also could i simply just buy some standard coolant hose from like napa ? is the diameter the same I noticed the hoses seem to be molded so was curious if that would matter appreciate all the input

You would need the Evo 9 coolant line if I'm not mistaken. You can get it from your local dealer, from FP, or mitsubishiparts.net

Leaking from where exactly? Coolant lines are on the front and rear of the turbo. Is the leak from where the metal line mates with the turbo center section via banjo bolt, or from the rubber lines that are clamped to engine feed and return lines? You may not need to replace the actual lines, but the hardware instead (bolts, washers). But if you do need new lines you would have to order evo 9 lines since its an evo 9 based turbo.

Is it just the clamp or the hose?

Running the NAPA hose would probably save you some cash and isn't going to hurt anything as long as you route it correctly.

EVO IX was in the states for one year, so unless there was a build date split I don't see how there would be two different parts for it, unless you're talking about VIII and IX hose numbers.

Anyways as said before you need the IX hoses now since you have a IX turbo.

I found a hose that fit with the molded bend and everything at my local auto parts store. It wasn't any cheaper than the dealership, but it saved me a trip at least. I just brought in the stock hose and went through their rack of hoses until I found one the same size/shape, just had to trim the legs shorter.

I replaced that same hose a couple weeks ago with a $3 napa silicone hose works great.
