Trimming License Plate: JDM Rear Bumper

I am getting a JDM bumper and see quite a few where the license plate doesn't fit very well. It looks like an afterthought. Are folks trimming them to get them to fit properly or is there something that needs to be done?

No trimming is needed. You can look at the some pics of jdm rears w/ license plates here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...thread-23.html

Thanks for the link.

What I'm not liking about most of the pictures is how the bottom of the license plate gets pushed outwards. I'm thinking I may cut the bottom so it sits above the dark grey/black portion of the bumper like the UK license plates fit. I'll only do it if I don't interfere with any of the letters, numbers, or tags.

I'm running the DemonWerkz crash beam and it seems to allow the license plate to sit nicely. My only complaint is that the mounting holes on the crash beam aren't exactly center. It made my plate sit to the right by maybe 1/8th of an inch. It's an eyesore, but only when you really look for it. Overall though I'm happy with the crash beam. Well worth the purchase.
