greetings
I've had my Evo about a week now, been searching around here learning about the car...Put around 1000 miles on it so far, and i think it has come time to begin purchasing some mods...
Going to stick to the basics right now...
GO with a quality and descent priced turbo-back, MBC, K&N drop in filter for now, and some sort of tuning device...
That is the area of concern at this time, i see many people running SAFC-2, Vishnu, DynoFlash...
Are all these essentially the same concept and based on personal preference? Or is there a product out there that is superior to the others?
I've only had my car past 5000rpms but 3 times, but i can tell that it mellows out, and i'd like to change this quickly...Is it due to the boost drop off, and will a MBC cure this issue?
I'm looking for 300whp within the next month
Any products i have left out that would be recommended, and any imput you guys can give would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks

Try taking a look at the Buschur stages also
The falloff is due to the boost dropping and it runs really rich
Boost control, turbo-back, Air intake, MAF pipe, fuel management (SAFC or Greddy E-manage) should show good gains.

There is a number there
Ask for Mark and he should be able to guide you in the right direction.
Right now he is having a sale

Wow I thought I was the only one to out 1000 miles on my Evo in a week. I have had mine 12 days and have just shy of 1200 miles. but I was just over 1000 after 6 days.
From what I have found there are 2 ways to go with ecu control:
1. Piggyback-like xede (vishnu)
2. Reflash-Dynoflash
There are others but these seem to be the main contenders. Good luck with your mods.
