would an 8" muffler fit under USDM evo 8 rear?

im looking for a really quiet muffler thats straight through and 3" and i found this dynomax super turbo muffler thats 8" in diameter. ive heard nothing but great things about this muffler and how quiet they are. i see all these huge fart can mufflers that have to be at least 6" in diameter. do you think it will fit without looking out of place?

That will seriously look out of place. You understand how big 8" diameter is right?

It will look titzzle! But you will need the car on 26" rims to clear the ground. Go for it!

I hope he means the actual width of the muffler and not the outlet.

as i explained in my original post, it is a straight through 3" muffler. the body of the muffler is 8" and the tail pipe coming out of it is still 3".

i figured that you would all realize that im not trying to rice my car out, i want to make it nice and quiet while still being a straight through high flowing muffler.

does anyone know how big the Buschur racing Magnaflow is in diameter?

Again. Do you knoe how big that is? You could nearly stick your head in the muffler body if it were that diameter.

I like my Greddy Ti-C but it would be nice if it were a bit smaller.

You guys got it all wrong. The muffler he speaks of is a wide body muffler not a round type.

So it is 8" wide horizontally but only about 3.5" to 4" tall vertically.

no, im talking about an 8" diameter round style muffler that is here: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-17698/

i cant find anyone running this muffler, but i am very interested in it if it will shut my car up and still flow well. thanks kyoo, if the buschur magnaflow is 7" then i dont think ill have too much trouble.

I am not seeing that kind of room under the car to accommodate something like that. I'm assuming you're not running any CATs?
