AEM Boost Gauge Problemo. Would love some feedback.

My boost gauge (AEM Analog) was working fine for about 2 weeks. I used vampire clips, and I suspected they weren't good enough, and I was right. Every now and again the boost gauge wouldn't calibrate right (because it would cut out at startup)...

SO, I pulled it apart, and rewired everything properly. I am nearly positive that its wired correctly as it was working properly at one point.

NOW though, when I turn the gauge on, it goes to zero (to presumably calibrate). I let it sit for a bit, then I start the car. It stays at zero. Under boost, the gauge pulls a vacuum to about 30 inHG... is this an indication of a bad sensor? It never reads psi above zero, and at idle stays at zero. Its only when I pull boost ( a good amount) that it goes straight to zero. So obv either the gauge isn't calibrating, or the sensors bad... am I missing anything?

I'm really frustrated with this... my car is running pig rich and I want to get it in to get tuned, but I'm waiting on my boost gauge!

put a multimeter on the map sensor 0-5v output and check it.

You mean the Mitsubishi MAP? Or the gauge's MAP? What am I looking for here?

Sounds like something is not hooked up correctly, and or you might have hurt something on the gauge by not installing it correctly the first time.

It was hooked up correctly the first time, I just don't think the connections on the vampire clips were as good as I wanted them to be. I get what you're saying though... there could easily have been a short somewhere (though I blew no fuses).

I'm just super frustrated with this thing right now. I've tried it wired to the clock and also to the door locks... both it functioned the same way...
