Any difference between a 8 & a 9 hood ??

Yup they are the same.
I see you have a WW (Wicked White) IX though. If you get a hood from a 03-04 model which is Weightless White the color does have a very subtle difference. Just a observation I figured I pass along

^ actually Im pretty sure its not the exact same color hence the names wicked white and weightless white. Not only that but the 8s besides TB and GG have a crappy single stage paint where as the ix's have a top clear coat if im not mistaken.

I guess either you or I obviously don't own an evolution 8 then or know what we are talking about when it come to paint. Considering. Im standing in front of mine in the driveway and I have two buddies that attended NADC (nashville automotive/diesel college) for body work and taught me everything they know about paint, and I have painted quite a bit since then I would say your full of **** and don't know what you are talking about.
The 8s besides TB and GG have a single stage paint job with NO clear coat over the top of the base coat. That is why it is dull looking. I know for a fact the WW on my 03 is single stage along with every other one I have seen

Its easy to tell if the paint is dull looking it is single stage. There was also a tsb about the single stage paint jobs they done as the paint chips easier since it has no clearcoat to protect it from dings nicks and scratches
