Re-wired DW301 Pump, Do i need a FPR now?

I re-wired my DW301 fuel pump and now I'm getting 9-10 afr's @ idle. Because of this my car won't idle and turns off.

Question: is the re-wired fuel pump too much for my FPR? Do need an aftermarket pump. If I do, it's not a big deal, but I'd like to get this issue fixed asap. Tom is tuning my car, fyi, so he'd know how to fix my map if there are other faults.

Thanks.

I also have FIC 1550's as injectors if that helps.

You need to be able to see fuel pressure at idle to determine that... If I was a betting man I would say a FPR would fix it...

You may also try drilling the siphon on the return "Y" inside the fuel pump unit as per TedB's recommendation with the Full Blown DP setups...
