Flashing Oil Light

Flashing Oil Light
Hi guys, I just bought my 2006 MR last friday. Everything has been working like a charm until tonight I noticed that the oil pressure warning light keeps popping up then going back off. I checked the oil everything is good, and the dealer also said the filter and everything was changed. Any ideas? I plan on taking it to the shop tomorrow to get it inspected, so I will bring it up to them. I'm just a tad bit worried.

Sometimes, if there is an aftermarket turbo installed, the turbo is fed oil from the oil filter housing. If this is the case, I bet the oil feed line (or some other piece of metal) is touching part of the low oil pressure switch. Verify nothing is touching this switch.

It could also be the sending unit, which is a cheap fix.

Have your shop verify oil pressure at idle
That's the only way to be certain
I've seen plenty of threads with this issue and many are resolved by changing the oil pressure switch.
Ps, It doesn't take Much pressure to close the switch.

I have the same problem. But now is worst. When I am sitting at a light the car idles really low like it wants to shut off and the light flashes. Can anyone advice me on what's going on? All the shops I go to wana charge me an arm and a leg just to check it.
