Plz help!
Hello there gyes!
I´m new on this forum, and 3 months ago i byed this Lancer evo8, 2004 model.
I am Norwegian, so this is an european model though...
Well to make a long story short, after 2 months my clutch had to be replaced, so i got this new ACT complete cluthc from lancershop + a brand new Findanza alu flywheel and bolts. I then got a local experied mechanic to replace the old ones with the new one. Yesterday when I picked up the car, i tried her on the motorway the revs could´t past 3000!!? And also it happens that the car stops when I brake a little hard:/
So the question is: Does anyone know what this might be?
The battery was not conected during the job, and I´ve tried to reset the whole Ecu, (start the car 5 times, and disconect battery for 5 mins)
I can get throught 3000 rpm´s, but only if I use like 30 sec to pull out each gear SLOW!
Can it be something with the intercooler/airfilter? Since he also had to remove this to do the clutchchange?
Plz help!
Many thanks,
Regards, Frode Norway

It sounds like a boost leak to me - air leaking somewhere past the turbo. This screws up the fuel mixture since all the air is measured at the mass air sensor but some is not making it to the engine.
