Just another manic Monday...until...

the infamous pop and smoke screen

In 3rd, went wide open, didn't even hit peak boost and pop. The car sputtered for a split second before the motor went and I glanced at the afr gauge which read 11.8, I didn't even see the boost at that moment. *sigh*

Cylinder 2 is the one that went hello world

Block was stock, rods were the MAP Howard rods they run in their drag car, pistons were Wiseco 1400HD's.

tscomp was the tuner, not tune related, Tom and I spent a lot of time with the timing to make sure it wasn't past mbt due to runnin ge-85. It was probably just her time. When Kevin gets it pulled apart he'll probably be able to pinpoint it

wasnt tuning related Evoardo. (atleast not mine).

motor was 2 years old, had lots of tuners before me abuse it to hell and back. now we just need to get it back up the cheapest and most efficient way possible.

the previous map from his other tuner was well.. lets just say they were trying to tune the car like it had a stock turbo.. insane amounts of timing everywhere and high boost. honestly im suprised it lasted as long as it did.. and you can ask him my initial responses when i first got him as a customer when i seen his maps

It popped with your tune in it, it's your fault, you owe him a motor, and labor, and the tow truck bill, and compensation for stress, and a BJ delivered to his door

Popped mine last year late. I know the feeling. I don't EVER want to experience that again. I feel for you dude.

And yeah 2.4 LR (even though I'm not done) is def. the way to go......and yes I'm biased.
