Just HATE the fact that I wasn't here first..

Bought my x with 17k miles more then a year ago. Bought my Evo 8 3 weeks ago with 11k miles. No buyers remorse with ether considering the only thing I cared about was having a warranty on a new car and my 5.0 got voided due to "abuse"

Then that places the value of them at over $200k which I don't think is unreasonable if they have 0 miles.
I would also bet that a 2004 VIII RS with 0 miles should go for about $50k if not more.
What a shame I didn't know this; I'd have bought a brand new VIII RS and IX RS (and maybe a IX MR SE as well) and kept it in a capsule. Definitely turning out to be collector cars in that "virgin" condition.

I went on vacation for two weeks and my Dad stayed at my house to watch the dog. I left him the keys to the evo and told him dont wreck it. ( he crashed my motorcycle and my RC cars) He got out of the Army 68/69? Anyway he had a bunch of muscle cars back then and he currently has a 59 wilys with a ford SB. I got home and asked if he had fun with the car? He said never ever ever sell this car. Pay it off and keep it. He said riding in it does it no justice, driving it on the otherhand is something special. He used 3/4th of a tank it was full when i left.

A car is only worth what someone will pay. Just because they're asking 50k+ doesn't mean they're worth it. You'd have to be an idiot to pay that IMO. It's not a '69 COPO ZL1 Camaro...

yes evo 9 was the best one ever made, bought mine new, i wasnt taking a chance with buying a used "molested" one and i don't regret it one bit, first brand new car i ever bought and best choice i ever made,

I suppose the next best thing to being the first owner is being the second and last owner. I'd much rather have this damn thing then buying something I will eventually sell just because I happen to pass on my current Evo..because it wasn't "NEW"
@9evolution
LMAO My dad also had a '70 Camaro SS and a '66 Chevelle and yes he was also impressed.

You guys have to remember outside of the community here people don't obsess about these cars, let alone know what they are. Just because it's worth a million dollars to a small group of die-hards doesn't make it a collectors car...more like a cult classic.
To the OP, new cars bring their own set of issues, performance cars are the worst if you want a warranty. I wouldn't worry much about the car not being brand new, keep up on the maintanence and it'll be just fine. Enjoy it for what it is!

Maybe that's a more apt way of putting it for right now; a cult classic. I can accept that.
I don't think $50k is unreasonable for a 0 mile 2004 VIII RS. I would pay $40k right now for one and I'm a cheap ***.
