Random Piece on Turbo

Hello I got a evo 9 turbo used recently and I was looking at it and I saw like a red cap in between the hotside and the coldside can anyone tell me what this is?? Sorry for the low quality pic I had to snap it before rushing off to work

It looks like a plastic plug someone put in there to keep junk from getting inside the turbo during storage or shipping.

what belongs there? am I supposed to remove that plug before installation

close! its your coolant supply line. i take it your swapping turbos, when you remove yours just put your supply tube on it

No it's for the water line, the oil feed looks to be still on there. And yes you need to remove the plastic cap.
