Sweet vette but an evo is just more fun

 

They are both awesome cars, you can't go wrong either way imo. I prefer the Evo, but I wouldn't be sad to have a C6Z06 either.

 

thats a beautiful zo6. love those, gonna have to get one later. but its up to you. see which one is cheaper to maintain and fits your budget.

 

The evo could not be cheaper to maintain? what's the true?

 

I love the Z06 but i also love the evo two great cars. At the end of the day you gotta go with what you know and think is the best for you.

 

Yea, I looovvee my evo, but if I already had a Z06, I don't think i'd be trying to get rid of it either.

 

people are out of there ****ingm ind on here...... the z06 is literaly the cheapest supercar out there to maintain. 3k in mods (heads/cam) and you will be WELL over 500whp. there so much fun. ive only driven c5 z06's which i would trade over my 8 anyday, i cant imagine what a c6 feels like. you would be crazy to trade it. if you miss the feeling, buy a dsm when you get more money. the minute i get enough cash i will be buying a z06 so i can have a fast factory car thats damn near buillit proof, makes stupid power, sounds amazing and is also an overall nicer car compaired to evos

 

Was this really necessary? Your comment about the Z06 being the cheapest supercar to maintain is a moot point. The point of this thread was that I miss my Evo. Why would I be crazy to trade a Vette for something I was happier with? Because of its status or cost? Its abilities? Again, not important. The Z06 is also far from bulletproof. A simple tune would void the warranty and can impose a huge risk if the engine were to let go which has happened many times.....

 

I think you said that your married but that Z06 will attract far more women than an EVO. Just a note to the singles out there. :-)

 

That Vette looks amazing. But there is something about an Evo that you can't replicate with any other car. If your a car guy and like working on your own car (like you posted). The Evo will give you great satisfaction after each Mod you do. Corvette won't, and I will really be too scared to mess with it (Voided Warranty). Evo's have soo many threads on how-to's that you will always keep your ride runnig great forever. I say get an Evo 9 and go back to the Vette, when your old and hate tinkering around a car. Thats what I would do.. Best of luck on your choice.

Firts off let me say that I enjoy my Evo8 and love the Evo platforms in general. With boltons, cams, and e85 you can run 11s. While still having 4 doors and so much room.

As for the c6 z06... they are simply beast cars. c6's with heads, cammed out, and tuning will make it a 120m,ph car easy. Throw on a 100shot and that thing moves!

In the end I have much respect for both platforms, but I would stick with the Evo for me... dont get me wrong though. If I had the oppurtunity to have both I would gladly take it

 

I think it's crazy you can even compare the two. can't wait to see what a few mods will do.

 

I did forget to mention, the only thing I liked about the Vette was how you feel like you're in a fighter jet cockpit because of the closeness of your center console and dash coupled with the very cool and very factory HUD.

Still nothing like being able to lean back and cruise in a more upright and open vehicle like the EVO though. I'm not a claustrophobic person by nature but cars like the Vette give me the *******.

 

id had 3 evos now.... evrytime i sell one i don't think im gng to get another but somehow i miss them to much and you go back to what you know.
