FWIW I don't see the warning when I use the mobile site.

It is posted in an obvious place on the normal site though.

It sounds like quite a few people on here knowingly ignore the warning.

Either way...good luck. It sucks that people trying to make a quick buck ruin a great place to buy/sell parts

Man what a douche. I hate when people do that. People have your HOME address and you still are willing to F someone over?? Hell it's probably not even his real address.

sucks to hear. I only do gifting when I know the person personally locally, or know them extremely well if they are out of the area. Here's to hoping you get your money back.

I've sent money as a Gift to reputable sellers, usually with over 10 feedbacks and never had any issues. If I do buy anything over a few hundred dollars though, I'll just pay the fees or try to split them with the seller as that way we are both covered if anything happens. I have had to turn down a lot of NICE parts because the sellers had 0 feedback, just to be on the safe side.

I would contact the forum MODS and your credit card company to get it resolved. I know of a few guys on here that contacted the MODS and they contacted the seller to get the issue resolved. They do have the power to ban and escalate the issue so give them a private message asap.

I just sold so many parts via PayPal (gift) to people I didn't know. 5 of which were around $700 each and none of them knew me... I guess I present myself well on the forums... Idk
