Emission Readiness Monitors question

Hi all,

I am going through a MAC inspection here in MA and I think I'm almost ready to pass, but I need to get my Cat and O2 sensors monitors to flip to ready. There's a thread in the Northeast forum with the history.

I just got the drive cycle details, so I will work on that. I've driven about 200 miles, but I've probably given it too much throttle and/or exceeded 3000 RPM, which may be my problem. However, I want to confirm a couple of things.

- If my O2 and cat show "incomplete" or "inc" in the OBDII scanner, does that prove they are functioning? I think it would show N/A if they were disconnected physically or disabled in the ECU.

- Should the following 3 items be N/A for a 2003 Evo (I'm thinking yes, but want to confirm):

- A/C refrig Mon - N/A
- Htd Catalyst - N/A
- Sec Air System - N/A

Here is the rest of the breakdown per an ODBII scanner:

Incomplete:

- O2 Sens mon
- O2 Sens Htr
- Catalyst Mon

The following are OK:

- EVAP System Mon
- Misfire Monitor
- Fuel System mon
- Comp. Component
- EGR System

The following is "Off":

- MIL Status

TIA.

Do you have tephrav7 in your car already?

If you do, you probably just need to set the obd readiness codes in ecu flash and reflash your ecu. I don't think they are configured properly if you just flash and tune it.

And if you don't, convert over and set them, then you won't have to drive around anymore.

I do have tephra, but when they do a MAC inspection, they actually let the tests run, so they have to be functioning. The "force ready" patches don't work. This is my understanding anyway. I passed last year with everything showing "Ready", even stuff like the htd catalyst which we don't have. This year, having the ECU set like that resulted in failed emissions and a referral to a "Motorist Assistance Center" or MAC where they are trying to "help" me resolve emissions issues....

I now have stock cat and exhaust on the car, as well as EGR, EVAP etc. I hoping I just need to complete the drive cycles properly to set the monitors.

I also just wanted to confirm whether the right things were showing N/A.

Thanks.

the problem is that your running tephra.

if you set up a stock rom with the emissions pass patch, im 99% people have passed MAC like that per another thread.

i have passed NYS with that twice now, which is the same plug in and submit to DMV/government setup.
