Oil light help

A friend of mine has an issue where his oil light is not working. He was explaining something about a oil messenger sender. Does anyone have any experience with this?

If he explained it then he should be able to fix it. Check the bulb.

Closer to the throttle body under the intake, on the block. You should be able to see it through there.

On an 8 it is on the firewall side of the engine. On a 9 it is located on the oil filter housing.
