Evo as your daily driven car?
#258
I DD mine. Drive it from Walla Walla, Washington to Sunnyvale CA about 5 times a year. About 900 miles. Sometimes i wish i had another car because rock chips are starting to kill my bumper. but being able to pass people like they are standing still definitely puts a smile on my face everyday.

It's my DD, 140k, 32 mile round trip about 3 times a week, all highway. Plus random trips to the mall and photo shoots and whatnot.
However, twice a week I take our shared family beater (and my first car) a scion tc to save some fuel. That way I can get about 2 weeks out of a full tank. Tc is pretty weak, but the cruise control is nice, the stereo is really good, and automagic is a life saver at 8 am when im sitting in bumper to bumper traffic.
But you know ya boy he had to pimp it out with some walmart tinted windows, spray painted wheels, and a super dope head unit with iPod capability.
-Sigh- Oh to be young and dumb...

I daily drove mine for a few months. Having a DD beater really brings out the enjoyment for me when I take the Evo out on the weekends. I don't get used to the car, when I get in it I kinda get the feeling of how I felt when I first bought it.

The only drawback of using the evo as a dd is the upkeep.
Holy crap I just priced out front & rear brembro pads.
Almost $900 for brake pads, wtf that's like 2 car payments.
Am so lucky I have a Nissan juke as a dd.
it's like a castrated version of the evo, but hey it's got a turbo. So I have officially become a boost addict.

I DD my IX for a year and finally got a utility now.Now I can use my utility to transport my mx bike and my Evo can rest in the cool garage.Plus I can use the DD beater for work and back because my Evo stood in the hot sun everyday...but no more.
