I had the same dilemma. Right now I DD mine. 2000 miles so far and love every bit of it. Some of the roads suck around here but I manage to avoid them most of the time.
I will be putting snow tires on her soon so we will see how that goes.

The civic wasnt too bad in florida except I hate automatic transmissions. When we brought it up to Wyoming and took it to the mountains for snowboarding it became a PAIN in the ***. The air is thin, the civic has no *****, and we could barely keep up with traffic lol. I do miss the gas mileage. I get about 19-20mpg with the evo on my snowboarding trips(4 or 5 people in it +gear)-Im usually in 4th to try to stay out of constant boost.

recaro's are bucket seats. they're conservative, but bucket seats nonetheless.
my wrx was a better DD than my evo ix mr. my evo likes to be really warmed up to shift smoothly and get through the gears. this is most notable during winter. the subaru would just drive fine without any warmup.

Look at my drives and you can see what I DD. I go through periods where I'll drive one of my cars a lot, but I always end up back in a beater. I'm the opposite of many I suppose and like my boring beater car for my boring drive. If I go out for a spirited drive or to race or something actually fun, then I'll hop in a fun car. If I'm driving to school or some crap where I'm going to spend most of the time in traffic...yeah, I'll take the boring, slow car thanks. Plus, I don't have to care about a beater the same way.
