I dd the car in my sig. It doesn't really get very good gas mileage, and I hate putting the miles on the built motor. I'm hoping to pick up a cheap, stock, high mileage 03' to dd sometime soon.

With some of the offers I've received on my Evo I think I might start putting more daily miles on it soon.

I believe it is a 14 gallon tank on the ol evos. I get like 270 when I have 1/4 tank left. thats about 10 gallons used for me.

there was someone in the other thread about mpg in a tank. he self tuned to 16:1 a/f ratio for daily driving and gets really insane mileage.

u can get 30+mpg in any car when u just coast down the mountain most of the time but if u average it... i highly doubt its possible. just because its a heavy car and drivetrain loss.

i daily drive mine, sadly im already the designated car/driver for when we go snowboarding :-(

hiner005 is right, its 14gal tank. source from "insidelane"

I can average 27mpg over a long trip usually, as long as I'm not going through mountains. And most I filled up for is like 13.01 gal. Its my personal goal to crack 30mpg but its going to be tough. I'll need to apply a lot of creative ideas. None of which include changing the afr. DDing in a city though is pretty bad. I usually get 270 miles to a 1/4 tank.

I personally wouldn't buy a car I didn't want to drive every single day.

i only drive my 06 on nice days and when I don't stay out late or leave it parked somewhere for a long time. I'd be pissed if anything happened to it

Like I said earlier, I usually have 3 or 4 other people in the car with snowboarding gear. On the trips to the mountains(about 3 hours each way) I get an average of 19-20 mpg. This includes a little over an hour of highway(80mph) and the rest in mountain driving. You either rev high or stay in boost since the air is soo thin and you have weight in the car uphill.

Not a daily for me, I have an E39 540i for daily. It's modified with some bolt ons and an M5-style sports facelift kit (minus the quad exhaust) and it an auto which is why it's my daily. I got the EVO after the BMW so I never sold the E39 and don't plan to. It's comfortable, has plenty of low end torque and an auto box which for me is perfect for daily plus it sounds incredible. They're pretty old now but they still turn heads on the street, the M Sport ones that is
