Evo 9 Build

Hi All,

Let me start out by saying that i DID search before writing this thread, and am just looking for input on what mods i could +/- from my current in the process build. My main goal is to have about 500hp, weekend fun car as it is not my daily. The current mods that i have are licp, perrin intake, HKS tbe, walbro 255lph, hallman mbc, and a tune done by cbrd. I put down 327hp at 24psi on their mustang dyno. The car is apart right now and i have gotten hks 272 cams, with valves springs and retainers. I also have gotten a toxicfab stock frame turbo manifold and a o2 dump. I would like to get either an FP black, red or the new cbrd bbk-bb turbo they are currently working on. This would be supported by a meth kit, 1000cc injectors, cbrd front mount and the rest of the piping. I am also putting in an exedy twin disc as my clutch replacement. Are my goals realistic? This is not meant to be driven everyday, only when i feel like taking it out. I was taking a look at some other full 35r kits, but i did not know if it was worth it or not. What other mods would be necessary to accomplish this goal. I planned on getting my intake manifold ported as it is off already. Any input would be great, and thanks for reading!

Anything can "handle" 500whp. The question is for how long?

Can the stock block with OEM specs run 500whp reliably?

AFAIK, 400whp and 30psi is about the upper bounds of what is considered to be "safe" when taking the stock motor out of OEM spec.

^ which is where I'm at. I'm not going past this until I get the bottom end taken care of, and if I'm doing that, I'm going ***** out.

I'm sitting mid 400 and it's daily, I've known guys to run 550+ but not as a daily. Just take this rule of thumb with ya, faster you go, faster you end up at the mechanic.

torque typically kills the stock block, not horsepower

you may want to look into better cams, the GSC S2 cams always seem to make good power when paired with fp turbos.
