exhaust manifold stud broken in head...should I just run it?

Or is there another way that I cant think of. This is the list of things I have tried:

Vise grips
Channel locks
torch
wax
easy out (broken in the stud)
drilling it and heli-coil it (cant now, or it will literally take days to do so)
the "doulbe nut" trick is no longer possible (see pic)
dremeled the sides so the vise grips had something to grab on to

I am now left with the picture below....

has anoyone ran without a stud and not had an exhaust leak? I have a brand new OEM 4 layer gasket ready to be put on along with my FP black, but I would really like to get this fixed.

Thanks for any and all help

I have on DSMs. Most usually wont leak. Will have to check tq on nuts from time to time with the heat cycles I would imagine.

put a nut over it and weld the nut in the middle connecting it to the stud. it turns the stud into a bolt.

Yea that works great on a free thread. I never could get that trick to work when I had a broken water pipe bolt on a 1g. Kept tearing out the weld. But that could of been my skills with a mig too...

If an ez out is broke in there it will never be drilled out, and it only made the threads tighter. Easiest way to remove it since they are so hard is take a hammer and chisel. The ez outs are very brittle. After you remove it I would just drill it out slightly larger and re thread it.

I've decided to drill it out. I'm using a carbide bit to get most of it out, then will install a heli-coil in order to keep it as stock as possible.
