Yea unless your on sd, you need to recirculate your bov, try recirculating it and see if that fixes your problem.

If you are running an aftermarket intake hard pipe try swaping back to a factory one. I did when I had that problem and it cleared up just fine. My car was just super sensitive to an aftermarket pipe. I got it fixed once on the after market but it took hours of messing with the intake tube and the Maf settings. Oh and seeing as you have and evo8, do and ecu reset if you try it. It might want to die a lot at first but you must force it to learn dy driving around..yes it IS a PITA.

Okay ive narrowed it to a vac leak in the intake or manifold and the bov.. so I'm going to see about getting an sd tune (though when I had the old bov that was vta I didn't have this problem until a couple months ago) and getting a new tb

Not at the moment.. I'm still waiting to hear back for a parts order & tune.. I did put some sea foam in the vaccum line and it helped a little bit but not enough to settle at that.
